ICAR-National Bureau of Animal Genetic Resource, Karnal (Haryana) is a premier
institute dedicated to work with its mandate.
(i)Identification, evaluation, characterization, conservation and utilization of livestock and poultry genetic resources of the country; and
(ii) coordination and capacity building in animal genetic resources management and policy issues.
NBAGR invites nominations for BREED
CONSERVATION AWARD for conserving and maintaining the registered Breeds
of livestock and poultry. Annually four (4) breed conservation awards will be conferred on 23rd December (Kisan Diwas). The award will carry a cash Prize of Rs. 10,000/- (Ten thousand only) and a Certificate/Citation. ICAR-NBAGR will provide accommodation, local hospitality only and TA support travel by public transport (bus/train/steamer) restricted to train AC-III tier, to the awardee and one accompanying person.
