ICAR Animal Genetic Resources of India NBAGR

Animal Genetic Resources (AnGR) consist of a large number of indigenous breeds of farm animal and poultry species. India possesses wide array of native breeds of Cattle, Buffalo, Sheep, Goat, Poultry, Camel, Equines, Yak, Mithun. The total number of registered breeds is equal to 212 in India. This database provides information on native tracts and breed descriptors of indigenous breeds.
